Hermon- Ms. Sara E. Trim, 28 passed away unexpectedly Wed. July 31, 2013 at the E.J. Noble Hospital in Gouverneur after she went into cardiac arrest due to a mitral valve prolapse.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Sara was born on May 1, 1985 in Malone, to Marvin and Denise (Poquette) Trim. She was raised and educated locally attending Hermon-DeKalb High School. Embracing her head strong personality at a young age, Sara also attended BOCES for welding, later earning her GED. Sara shared in a special loving relationship with Thomas Dalton for 10 years. They made a family together and enjoyed love and life.
Sara had an outgoing spirit and a love that was infectious. She loved being a mother to her 3 babies, Sara, Travis and Thomas. This was truly evident as she made herself present to them always; being a “full-time Mom”. Her heart also had a special place for her dogs: Buddy, Jim, and Princess. She enjoyed nature and all its beauty; as well as being outdoors, especially the nights that they would have a fire. Those who knew and loved Sara would say she always did the best she could, gave herself unconditionally, and just loved Thomas and their family.
Sara is survived by her companion, Thomas, and their children Sara, Travis, and Thomas, all at home, her mother, Denise Trim of Parishville, her father, Marvin Trim of Dickinson, maternal grandparents, Francis and Elaine Poquette of Lawrenceville, grandmother, Ruth Trim of Dickinson, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.
Always close to her heart, is the memory of her brother, Travis Trim, and Grandfather Marvin Trim Sr. who predeceased her.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 at the funeral home. Sara’s Funeral Service and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10am at St. Lawrence Church in North Lawrence. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Brushton.
For those wishing to express an act of kindness, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sara’s honor to the American Heart Association.
