Valora Mae Waite

Winthrop – Ms. Valora Mae Waite, 66, passed away on Tuesday December 21, 2021, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop where calling hours will be held Tuesday December 28th from 4 – 6 PM. Valora’s Funeral Service will begin at the conclusion of calling hours. Valora was born in Potsdam on May 10, 1955, to the late Wayne and Marion (Stark) Bush. For many years she worked as home health aid and then as a lunch attendant at St. Lawrence Central School. She enjoyed crafting, doing puzzles, playing cards, and reading. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and being present to them during their activities. She leaves behind her four children, son in law, and a daughter in law; April and David Foster Jr., Victor and Lauire Waite Jr., Lisa Waite, and Lora Waite; her five grandchildren whom she loved very much; Natasha Waite, Brian Waite, Kelsy Waite, Samantha Foster, and Eliza Foster. Valora is survived by one sister and three brothers and besides her parents she is predeceased by a brother, Marshall Bush Sr., and a sister Eileen Sullivan.
