Ann Francis

Ann M. Francis, age 91, departed this life on February 27, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Massena, New York. Born on January 17, 1934, in Massena, Ann lived a fulfilling life dedicated to her family and her career in healthcare. Ann is the daughter of the late Ernest and Louva (Moquin) Pelkey. She married Lawrence Francis who predeceased her in 1977.

A devoted mother, Ann is survived by her three sons, Thomas and Tena Francis, Lawrence and Julianne Francis, and Terry Francis, as well as her daughter, Suzanne Deshais. She is also remembered by her siblings, brother Duane Pelkey and sister Elaine Krywancayk, who cherished her presence and support throughout her life.

Ann worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Regis Nursing Home, where her compassionate care and dedication to her patients left a lasting impact on those she served and her colleagues alike. Her nurturing spirit and kindness resonated within the community, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Following her wishes, her family will honor her life privately. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.

Ann was preceded in death by: her son, Steven Francis, and sisters, Mary Mattice, Debbie Guimond, and Beatrice Donohue.

Ann M. Francis, a loving mother, sister, and friend, will be remembered for her unwavering love, grace, and the countless lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
