Catherine M. Baile

Malone- Catherine M. Baile (Suckie), 73, passed away, Sunday February 23, 2025, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home and in following Cathy's wishes there will be no public services.

Cathy was born in Raymondville on October 1, 1951, daughter of the late Mike and Ruby (Landon) Nowak.

On March 25, 1972, she married George J. Baile at the Norfolk Wesleyan Church. They shared 43 years of mutual respect and love. George passed away on July 15, 2015.

Catherine lived her life with an unwavering passion for cooking, bringing joy to many as a talented chef at Heberts Steak House in Massena. She also was a cook at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino as well as their seamstress who would at times work from home.

She had a special affection for her beloved cats, particularly one named Ginger Ale, who was a constant companion throughout her life.

An avid crafter, Cathy found joy in sewing and creating handmade treasures for her family and friends. In her later years, she developed a fondness for shopping, often spending time exploring online boutiques and finding treasures that brought her joy.

She is survived by her daughters Darcielee (Robert) Baile Tremblay of Malone, and Stacylynn (Mitch) Stewart - Lewis of Lawrenceville; her grandchildren who she adored, Joshua (Miranda) Baile of Massena, Samantha (Connor) White of Malone, Travis Stewart of GA, Jedediah and John Dashnaw of Syracuse; and great-grandchildren Emmalyn Baile and George Baile.

Catherine's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones, a shining light that will guide them through the days to come. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and culinary passion will always be remembered.
