St. Regis Falls - Elizabeth Farmer Ploof, 90, passed gently into God's embrace on Sunday July 29, 2012, at her home under the care of her daughter and High Peaks Hospice. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Elizabeth was born on April 16, 1922 in St. Regis Falls, daughter of the late Lindon and Nettie (LePage) Farmer. She married Percy Keith Ploof with whom she shared a blessed union of 44 years. For many years, she was well known and loved as the manager of the Eskimo Inn in St. Regis Falls. She is survived by four children: Patricia Jenkins of St. Regis Falls, Joan Falvey of Greece, Lloyd Ploof of Newport and Penny Trimm of Hemlock; a brother, Walter Farmer of St. Regis Falls; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her husband, three children, (Michael, Brian and Mary), four sisters and four brothers, predeceased her. She will be laid to rest in St. Ann's Cemetery in St. Regis Falls, beside her beloved husband, where graveside services will be held on Friday August 3rd, at 10 am.
