Elric D. Viau

Potsdam - Elric D. Viau, 78, passed away at his home under the loving care of his wife and hospice on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. His family will receive friends on Saturday July 27th from 11 am to 12 noon followed by a funeral service. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery in Malone.

Elric was born on April 6, 1946, in Ft. Covington, son of the late Frank and Irene (Gratton) Viau. He married Marilyn Debiew at the Brasher Falls United Methodist Church on August 18, 1984. He retired from SLCARC where he was a bus driver. He enjoyed camping and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, three sons, Elric Viau, Jr., Brent and Beth Viau, and David and Debra Viau, his siblings, Lucretta and Ray Page, Marvel Viau, Herman and Terri Viau, Dianthia LaRock, Charlotte Bassett, Garrison Viau, Cynthia Fuller, Darlene and Tom Demo, Vera Viau, and Roxanne and Jay Rieber, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
