In loving memory of Eula Autumn Sawyer, a devoted sister, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose life journey began on November 18, 1941, in the quaint town of Dickinson Center, the daughter of the late George F. and Lowessa M. (Finlayson) Chesbrough. Eula peacefully transitioned on March 3, 2024, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family in St. Regis Falls, at the age of 82.
Eula was a compassionate soul, dedicating her days as a waitress in Niagara Falls, a Home Health Aid, as the pianist and choir director at Trinity United Methodist Church, playing Michigan Rummy with her friends and family. She was a member of the St. REgis Falls Adult Center and the St. Regis Falls Sportsman's Club. Her nurturing spirit touched countless lives, making a profound impact within her community.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Max and Cameron Sawyer, her beloved sister Verlie LaBounty, along with her Daughter In Law Megan Sawyer and precious grandchildren - Alexis, Koryn, Liana, Logan, Decklen, Whitley, Owen, Bryce, Wyatt and her treasured great-granddaughter, Grace. She was predeceased by two brothers, Thurston and Haven Chesbrough, two grandsons, Lucas Michael Sawyer and Ian Michael Sawyer.
A celebration of Eula's life will take place in a Funeral Service at the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls on March 8, 2024, at 3:00 pm, preceded by a Visitation at 1:00 pm.
As we gather to honor Eula, let us remember her endearing spirit, her unwavering love, and the gentle kindness she shared with all. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the St. Regis Falls Adult Center.
