Gene LaFlesh

North Lawrence - Gene M. LaFlesh, 70, passed away peacefully at his home on January 23, 2025, under the care of his family and Hospice. Following his wishes, his family will honor his life privately.

Gene was born on November 22, 1954, son of the late Floyd J. and Olive E. (Frary) LaFlesh. His passion was automobiles, and he spent his life in the business owning LaFlesh's Garage in Norfolk. He had a reputation of honesty and fairness.

He is survived by his companion Cheryl Labar; son Matthew (Nichelle) LaFlesh, daughter Tesha LaFlesh, grandson Gage LaFlesh, a stepson and granddaughter Michael and Christine LaBar, and his best friend Kyle Marshall. He was predeceased by his brother, Floyd "Junior" LaFlesh, and his sister Marjorie Tuper.
