Geraldine F. Henry

St. Regis Falls - Geraldine F. Henry, 101, a resident of Uihlein Mercy Center, Lake Placid, formerly of St. Regis Falls, passed away October 16th at the nursing home. She was born November 25, 1908, in St. Regis Falls, the daughter of Carl and Effie (Aldrich) Winters. Geraldine graduated from St. Regis Falls School, later the Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY where she obtained her RN degree. During WWII she worked at the docks of the ship yards, as a nurse, later working in the private sector as a registered nurse. She married George Henry in New York City, July 3, 1930. Among her survivors is a close friend Sherry Chapman of St. Regis Falls, as well as a few nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband George, brother Stanley Winters and a sister Flora (Pat) Fairlamb. Ms. Henry was a St. Regis Falls TUMC (Trinity United Methodist Church) member. A private service honoring the life of Geraldine will be held at the convenience of her close friends and family. Memorial contributions in honor of Geraldine may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church (TUMC).
