Brasher Falls - John C. Dullea, 87, passed away Friday, November 19, 2010, at Canton - Potsdam Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. John was born on October 8, 1923 in the Town of Stockholm, son of the late Cornelius F. and Teresa E. Normile Dullea and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Brasher Falls, as Valedictorian. He married Joanne Monahan, who predeceased him. He took over the family dairy farm, which he operated until he retired. He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls and a member of the Winthrop Grange #538. He is survived by two children, Angela and Paul Turner and Matthew Dullea of Syracuse; two sisters, Marian Frier of Watertown and Cathryn Stone of Florida; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, one sister, Helen Ruddy and his good friend, Harold Dunn. Friends may call at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, Tuesday afternoon from 1 until 2. A funeral service will be at the funeral home at 2 pm. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Brasher Falls.
