John Thomas

Winthrop - John W. Thomas, 66, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at North Country Rehabilitation Center in Massena. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery in Dickinson Center. Following the graveside service, his family will be gathering at the Lawrenceville Fire Station to share in a meal and fellowship. Please bring a dish to pass.

John was born on May 1, 1957, in Potsdam, son of the late Francis D. and Laura M. (Dashnaw) Thomas. He worked as a cook for many years and was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service in Massachusetts.

He is survived by a brother, Douglas Thomas, a sister, Margaret and Eddie Ryan, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother, Charles Thomas, Sr. and two sisters, Maude Haskell, and Frances Thomas.
