Brasher Falls - Kenneth B. Stark, 72, passed away unexpectedly on March 24, 2025, at CVPH in Plattsburgh. Born on September 30, 1952, in Potsdam, Kenny was the son of the late Harold and Joyce (Bullock) Stark.He married his one and only love Joan Oakes on June 26, 1976 at St. Patrick's Church in Brasher Falls. They shared a blessed union of almost 49 years and was proud of the family they raised. Kenny worked his life as a self-employed logger. He enjoyed the forest, tractors, and making maple syrup. The other woman in his life was most definitely his chainsaw. When he wasn't serving as head wood-pecker, he enjoyed camping, playing cards, tractor rides with his grandchildren, activities with the Boy Scouts when his son was a child and extra large bonfires.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Joan, and his three children: Aleida "Lea" Giles of Brasher Falls, Jennifer and Brandon Thompson of Parishville, and Kenneth Jr, "BJ" and Catrina Stark, of Winthrop, his grandchildren, Kaylene and Dan, Cheyanne and Austin, Austin, Blazer, Morgan, Dakota, Chelsea and Kevin, Matthew, and Haleigh, his great grandchildren, Haidyn, Madelynn, Carol, Gunner, Elizabeth, Hudson, Magnolia, Mavrick and Scarlett, his siblings, Linda Razis, Carol and David LaBier, Terry and Karen Stark, Gary "Bucky" and Darlene Stark and Sally Brothers and Gerald, his sisters in law, Cindy Stark, Sandy Stark, a brother in law, George Ryan and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Harold and Ralph, a sister, Jean Ryan and a brother in law, Alex Razis,. He was a proud husband, father, grandfather, and he cherished every moment spent with his family.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Kenneth's life during a visitation at Hammill Funeral Home on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. His funeral service will take place at Knapp Station Community Church on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Kenneth will be honored with a luncheon following the service.
The whole family appreciates all the support during this difficult time and invites everyone who knew Kenneth to join them in remembering a wonderful man who touched many lives.
