Lawrenceville - Mrs. Linda M. (Judware) Dissottle, 81 passed away on Sunday January 12, 2025, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, where visitation will be held Thursday from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8. Linda's Funeral Service and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11:00am at the Church of the Holy Cross in Hopkinton. Burial will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery in the springtime.
Linda was born at home in Malone on November 20, 1943, to the late Lloyd and Gladys (King) Judware. She graduated from St. Lawrence Central High School in 1962. On February 8, 1969, she married Joseph F. Dissottle at St. Lawrence Church in North Lawerence with Fr. Flattery presiding. Jody passed away on February 7, 2020.
Linda's legacy is one of hard work and dedication. She was self-employed as a farmer, working tirelessly alongside Jody on the family farm. In addition to her agricultural efforts, Linda also worked at the papermill in Norfolk and contributed to her family as a devoted homemaker.
Outside of her family life, Linda was an active member of the Lawrenceville Auxiliary and enjoyed her time participating in community events. She had a passion for bowling and found joy in crocheting.
To her grandchildren, she was affectionately known as "Grandma" and "Nana," titles that reflected her nurturing spirit and loving heart.
Linda is survived by her children, Darren and Rachel Dissottle, Darrell Dissottle, Dawn and Paul Brown, Dwayne and Tracy Dissottle, David and Deana Dissottle, and Deborah Brothers; three sisters Ann "Cookie" Robbins, Patricia Burnett, and Diana Swary; a brother, Donald Judware; 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her parents and husband Linda was predeceased by her granddaughter Kaitlyn Dissottle - Camidge, and son -in-law Eric Brothers.
Flowers are respectfully declined. For those wishing to express and act of kindness, memorial contributions can be made to the COPD Foundation.
Linda dedicated her life to her family, her farm, and her community. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
