Brasher - Linda N. Doyle, 77, passed away on December 11, 2024, at her home in Brasher.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Where visitation will be held Monday December 16 from 4 - 6 PM with Linda's funeral service beginning at 6:00PM. Burial will take place Tuesday morning at 10AM at St. Lawrence Cemetery in North Lawrence.
Linda was born on November 23, 1947, in Massena, to the late James and Beatrice (Yaddow) St. Thomas. She graduated from Massena High School and continued her education, earning college credits.
She married Denis Doyle on July 17, 1970, in Norfolk. Denis passed away on March 31, 1995.
Linda had a passion for cooking, which she pursued as a dedicated pastry chef and prep cook at various establishments, including Bears Den and The Akwesasne Casino. She also contributed her talents to the U.S. Post Office and Evergreen Pet Crematory where her friendly demeanor and work ethic left a lasting impression on her colleagues and customers.
An avid gardener, Linda took great pride in her vegetable gardens and enjoyed canning the fruits of her labor. She loved riding her scooters, cheering for the Buffalo Bills, and maintaining a good-natured rivalry against anyone playing the New York Giants. Her sense of humor and determination were true hallmarks of her character.
She loved helping people and had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her dog, Woody.
Above all, Linda treasured her family. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Darlene (Donald) Bissonette, and her son Desmond Doyle of Brasher; two grandchildren, Daisy Bissonette of Hyde Park, Chicago, and Dylan Bissonette of Princeton, NJ.; and two sisters, Priscilla Bogart and Arloyne (Denis) Brodeur.
Besides her parents, and husband, Linda was predeceased by her son, Darcy, her daughter, Arlinda and brother - in - law Burt Bogart.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Tri - Town Rescue Squad and/or the Massena Rescue Squad.
In remembering Linda, we celebrate a remarkable woman whose spirit enriched the lives of so many. May she rest in peace.
