St. Regis Falls – Lola Dee Wilson, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg. Following her wishes, all services are private; arrangements are with the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls.
On June 11, 1943, Lola was born in Harker’s Island, NC, the daughter of the late Ira and Bethel (Davis) Willis. She married Jack Otis Wilson on May 16, 1964 in Harker’s Island, sharing a partnership of love that gave them four children. Jack passed away on February 3, 2012. She loved to have a garden and can whatever she grew, especially dill pickles. Her favorite pastimes included listening to country music, cooking and doing word search puzzles. Lola’s favorite get-away was vacationing in NC. She made a lot of great memories with her family and friends.
Lola is survived by her children, Jack Wilson, Jr. of Newport, NC, Myra and Wayne Lester of Wilmington, NY; Helen and Ron Bush of Lisbon, NY; Beth and James Lawrence of Beaufort, NC; her siblings, Larry Willis and Necy Grantham, both of Beaufort, NC; grandchildren, Brandi and Dennis Badulak, Nanci Collins, Allecia and Nick Orr, Kristen Most, Ian and Jamie Haney, James Most, Savannah Lawrence; great grandchildren, Jacob Most, Avery Badulak and Cameron Badulak. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Martha Gillikin, Arlettie Gillikin, Glenda Harrison, Rosaline Wade, Laura Jane Soukup, Ira Willis and Mervin Willis.
