Brasher Falls - Margaret E. Partlow passed away Friday morning (December 17, 2010) at Massena Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Margaret was born on June 8, 1926 in Pyrites, daughter of the late Delbert and Angeline Narrow Ensby. She graduated from Brushton High School and the Adirondack Business School in Malone. On April 5, 1947, she married Earl L. Partlow of Winthrop at St. Lawrence Church in North Lawrence with Father McGuire celebrating. They shared a devoted union of faith and love for 57 years. Mr. Partlow passed away on December 19, 2004.
Mrs. Partlow was a bookkeeper and cashier for the M. H. Fishman Co., in Potsdam for 20 years and then worked at the Marine Midland Bank in Potsdam for nine years. After she retired she was able to spend more hobby-time with her arts and crafts, crocheting and gardening. Recently she was able to raise a puppy, her loving companion, Susie. Her friends reflected on her love of family and how she was a gentle "lady" with a lovely smile who always thought of others. Those that were fortunate to know her loved her. Margaret's life was lived with faith, and the Christmas season was her favorite. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Donna and Allen Jackson of Winthrop; granddaughters, Lorri Jackson of Massena and Jennifer Parker of St. Regis Falls, step granddaughter, Stephanie Clark of Massena; great grandchildren, Jaimee Burgoyne, Jason Clark, Randy Parker Jr., Allie-Rae Parker, Maegan Clark and Hannah Clark; great great grandchildren, Brayden Michael Earl Burgoyne and Addison Margaret Burgoyne; many nieces and nephews.
