Mary M Kinnear

Winthrop - Mary M. Kinnear, 78 of Winthrop, passed away Friday morning at her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Mary was born March 20, 1932, in Hopkinton, NY the daughter of the late Philip H. & Alice (Wilson) Witherell. She was educated locally through the Parishville Hopkinton Schools. On March 29, 1948 she married Elwyn J. Kinnear at the Hopkinton Congregational Church, he predeceased February 12, 1987. Arrangements are entrusted with the Hammill Funeral Home, Winthrop Mary was described as a wonderful person with a charming smile, who always had a kind word to say. Whether you were family, friend, or a neighbor, she always welcomed you into her home and loved to visit. She also enjoyed quilting, cooking, puzzles and reading. Mary is survived by her six children Cheryl and her husband Mark Bevan of Hilliard, OH; Kevin and his wife Sonya Kinnear of Winthrop; Steven and his wife Sandy Kinnear of Cicero, NY; Susan and her husband Scott Segretti of Liverpool, NY; Laurie and her husband Tim Kuchler of Westerville, NY and Bonnie and her husband Paul Bouchard of Schwenksville, PA. Also surviving Mary are 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews Funeral services honoring the life of Mary will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm at the Hammill Funeral Home, Winthrop. Public visitation will be held Sunday from 1-3pm at the funeral home. A private committal service will be held a later date. If one chooses to do so, memorial contributions in Mary's honor may be made to Hospice and Palliative care of St. Lawrence or to the Tri-Town Volunteer Rescue Squad.
