North Ft. Myers/Brasher Falls – Robin Hourihan, aged 69, died peacefully in Cape Coral, Florida on Friday, May 18th, 2018. She was the third child of Lester Hourihan and Marguerite Niles, and was raised in Brasher Falls, NY. She had a long career as a technician in the telecommunications industry, and was fortunate to receive an early retirement. Robin was a happy resident of the Pine Lakes community in North Fort Myers since 2012, where she made many dear friends, and enjoyed playing golf, bird watching, sunbathing and swimming at the community pool, and taking care of her dog, Emma—an adorable Shih-Poo, and her two sweet and loving cats Mittens and Patches. Robin made friends easily, valued her friendships dearly, and will be remembered and missed by many with whom she spent time. Robin loved movies and music, board games and cards, socializing, and trying new things, like gardening and knitting. She is survived by her only child, Mark Bodah, whom she loved more than anything, and who will miss her more than words can say, and his partner of 18 years, Stephanie Gerolimatos, of Greenfield, MA. Her brother, Peter Hourihan and his wife, Neide of Orange Beach, AL, two sisters, Nancy Hourihan, of Orchard Park, NY and Lori King and her husband, Richard of Port Charlotte, FL, also survive her, as well as their children and grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass is being planned for July 2o, 2018 at 10 am at St. Patrick's Church in Brasher Falls, NY, with burial to be in the parish cemetery in Brasher Falls. Following the burial, a reception will be held at the Riverview Restaurant in Brasher Falls at noon.
