St. Regis Falls- Mr. Timothy L. "Tim" Lucas, 63, passed away on March 16, 2016 at the home of his brother, Tony under the comfort and care of Tony's wife, Pam and daughter, Meagan, and hospice. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home.
He was born in Potsdam on June 13, 1952 to Manley F. and Rita C. (Francis) Lucas. He graduated in 1970 from St. Regis Falls High School also studying Building Trades Carpentry at N. Franklin BOCES in Malone. After graduation, he enlisted in the US NAVY, proudly serving 4 years and earning an honorable discharge. After his time served, he then resumed his love of carpentry; being self-employed and working for various contractors. In 2001, he built Twin Pines Quick Stop Quick Stop for his brother Tony. Tim also owned and operated the Adirondack Laundry Mat and Car Wash for 25 years, retiring in 2013.
Tim was a member of: SRF Sportsman's Club, American Legion, and Camp Luck Hunting Club which was started by his father Manley. He had a love of the outdoors, fishing, hunting, sports cars and NASCAR racing.
He is survived by 2 sisters: Cathy Labar of St. Regis Falls, and Judy Peck and her husband Roger, of Nicholville, 2 brothers: Tracy and his wife Tracie (Parks) Lucas of St. Regis Falls, and Tony and his wife Pamela (Parker) Lucas of Nicholville, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Manley Lucas in 1986 and his mother, Rita Catherine (Francis) Lucas in 2005.
In keeping with the family's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A military graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
