Timothy R. Buckley

November 21, 1981 — November 20, 2021

Timothy R. Buckley, 39, passed away on Saturday November 20, 2021; in TimBuck fashion, one day prior to his 40th birthday.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop and there will be no services at this time. His family will honor his life privately at their convenience.

He is survived by a daughter, Lola Buckley of Potsdam; mother, Kathryn Graves of Ellington, FL., brother Gregory Gering his wife Tina and their family of Maryland; brother, Ryan Buckley of Brasher Falls, sister Meghan Buckley – Bethel and her husband Tracy ‘Barney’ Bethel of Helena; niece Michaela Bethel; nephew, Tyler Bethel; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Tim was born at Canton – Potsdam hospital on November 21, 1981, to Kathryn Benware – Graves and Robert D. Buckley. He grew up in Brasher Falls, graduated from St. Lawrence Central High School where he played football and lacrosse, threw keggers, drove a big bronco, and had an even bigger personality.

Timbuck was so much more than his struggles. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing. He would cast a line anywhere; in a boat, on a river, with a crew or floating solo. He was always up for a good time; never made you feel like a stranger and loved his family unconditionally.

He had the softest baby blues with gentle giant arms to hug you tight, and anyone that truly knew him, knew he had such a big heart. He would give you anything even if it wasn’t his to give. Tim could make you laugh even if you were mad at him, and he always told it like it was.

Although Tim fought addiction and battled diabetes daily, we can all take comfort that he is finally at peace in the arms of his father, Bobby, who suddenly passed on July 25, 2004.
