Carolyn was born on February 21, 1944, in Massena, daughter of the late George Bradford and Pearl (Carson) Bradford.  She married Bruce E. Derouchie on August 9, 1985, in Lawrenceville with Honorable Homer Stranger officiating.

Carolyn worked as a para legal at Poissant and Twist in Malone.  She also owned and operated The Bakke Shoppe in Moira.  She worked at General Electric in Syracuse, the Candle Company, Slipper Factory and more.

She shared her talent for baked goods. She enjoyed cooking for people, especially her family. She was an avid reader and shared her knowledge of the Bible with all of us.  She taught us to love and to forgive quickly.  Her heart was filled with love as she watched her family grow and spent precious time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren daily. She had many talents.

(Hill) Haverstock of Massena, her grandchildren and their partners, Celeste Haverstock and Tyler Olson, Lance and his wife, Calista, Candie Hill and Mike Lucey, Barry Hill III and Laura, Amanda Hill and Travis Hopson, Great Grandchildren, Melanie, Lily, Max Bella, Brynn, Declan, River, Raven, Hailey, Milo and Niko, a son-in-law, Bert Haverstock, nieces and nephews, Jeff, Robin, Carrie, Tanya(Bradford), Allison, Jackie, Cathy, Mike, Chris, (Kimberly) Scott, Julie, Cammie, Craig, and Rauchell, brother, Roger Bradford and his wife, Cindy, .  She was predeceased by three brothers, Wayne Bradford, Doug Bradford and Gary Bradford, her half-siblings, Evelyn Titus, Clark Bradford, Harold Bradford, and Lawrence Bradford, her father, George Bradford, her mother, Pearl (Carson) Bradford, stepfather, Lloyd Shoen, first husband, Barry K. Hill, Sr.

Carolyn was and always will be our mother, best friend, mentor, as she showed us to see the best in others, to have a compassionate heart; to give freely and forgive quickly.  She taught us the love the Lord with all our heart, trusting in him and to not lean unto our own understanding, acknowledge him and he will direct us.  She was an amazing wife and adored her husband.  A beautiful example for all of us is the love, sacrifices, teachings throughout her life that we will hold close to our hearts.

Carolyn will be walking on streets paved of gold, until that sweet day that we will all reunite, you are forever in our hearts. May God’s grace and glory fill this family and to anyone that has lost a loved one. Remembering always to put the whole armor of God on.
