Funeral services for Frances K. Langdell, age 77, of Winthrop, will be held at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2nd at Hammill Funeral Home, 653 State Highway 11C, Winthrop. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6pm to 8 pm, prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, New Hampshire. Mrs. Langdell passed away Friday, January 29, 2010 at Fletcher Allen Medical Center of Burlington, VT. Frances was born August 26, 1932 in Gilmore, KY, the daughter of the late George William and America (Greene) Hollon. She married David A. Langdell on September 26, 1953 in Charleston, SC. He predeceased her on Oct. 10,1989. She is survived by four daughters: Deborah And Michael Menyhart of Merritt Island, FL, Karen Watson of Cocoa, FL, Tammy and Eric Stahle of Winthrop, and Janet Langdell of Rochester; 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 4 nephews, 1 great niece and 1 great nephew. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Kathy Langdell, two sisters, Laura Stamford and Nellie Descheytter. She was a proud owner of two restaurants in her lifetime, working as a Short Order Cook and Waitress, and also worked as a housekeeper for several families.
