Esther May Ford

St. Regis Falls - Esther May Ford, 88, passed away Saturday (October 20, 2011) evening at her home, where she had been in failing health. Arrangements are entrusted with the Hammill Funeral Home, St. Regis Falls. Esther was born October 28, 1922 in St. Regis Falls, daughter of the late Elmer and Iva (Palmer) Martin and received her education locally in St. Regis Falls. On June 24, 1946 she married Allie John Ford; he predeceased her on March 3, 1994. Along with being a dedicated to her family she worked for over fifteen years at Meacham Upholsters where she reupholstered furniture. Esther happiest moments were when she was surrounded by family and friends as well as cooking for family or gazing at a floral garden. She is survived by her children; a son John (Mary) Ford of St. Regis Falls, two daughters Sandra Carbino of Ogdensburg, and Dale West of Mannsville. Also surviving her are her two sisters Eleanor Thompson and Earldine Phillips both of Buffalo; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one Great Grandchild. A graveside service will be held Saturday (October 29, 2011) St. Ann's Cemetery, St. Regis Falls, NY.
