Obituary of Mary Jane Martin

A Funeral Mass for Mary Jane Martin, 90, of Malone, formerly of Brasher Falls, will be at St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls on Saturday at 9:00 am with Rev. Patrick Ratigan celebrating. Friends may call at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, Friday from 7 to 9. Burial will be in Louisville Cemetery in Louisville.
Mrs. Martin passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at CVPH in Plattsburgh.
She is survived by five daughters, Salina Carpenter of Satsuma, Fl, Marceline Bandy of Malone, Leona and Donald McMartin of Whitby, Ontario, Margaret and Brian Kinnear of Rochester, and Bertha and Francis LaPage of Dickinson Center; 15 Grandchildren- Linda Olmstead, Dale Bero, Jennifer LaPage, Joseph Bero, Mary Douglas, Barbara Weirney, Bonnie Bandy, Caroline Bandy, Anna Bandy, Donald McMartin, Jr., Paul (Pamela) McMartin, Charles Kinnear, Steven Kinnear, Scott LaPage, Timothy LaPage, Nicole Jock; 20 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren.
Mary Jane is predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Rose Hartigan, Emma Coupeau, Marie LaShomb, Leona LeBlenc, Phobe LaShamb, Elizabeth Raymo, Alex Derouchie, Joseph Derouchie, Wallace Derouchie, Midas Derouchie; 1 Grandchild, Anna Bandy.
Mary Jane was born on April 20, 1919 in Ft. Covington, daughter of the late Wallace and Salina Brunet Derouchie. She attended Ft. Covington schools and on October 11, 1937, she married Joseph Angus Martin in St. Agnes, Quebec, Canada. Mr. Martin passed away on October 22, 1979.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls and a member of the Tri Town Senior Citizens.
