Alice E. Wagner

St. Regis Falls - Alice E. Wagner, 88, passed away Saturday Oct. 27, 2012, at the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena. Arrangements are entrusted with the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Alice was born on November 13, 1923 in Stowe, VT, daughter of the late Lewis and Esther Dimick. She married Elmer Wagner on December 5, 1940. Mr. Wagner passed away on December 28, 2003. Alice truly enjoyed the outdoors; she was an avid hunter and took pleasure in her gardening. She also spent much of her time at the St. Regis Falls Adult center, participating in crafts and daily activities. She was a member of the St. Regis Falls United Methodist Church, Adult Center and Order of the Eastern Star. Alice is survived by one son, Philip Wagner, Sr. of St. Regis Falls; two grandsons, Philip Wagner, Jr. of Ft. Jackson and Brett Wagner of Waddington, three great-grandchildren, one sister; Elizabeth Quesnel of Fort Covington, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Alice's Funeral Service and Celebration of Her Life will be on Thursday at 11 am at the St. Regis Falls United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Forest Cemetery in St. Regis Falls. Donations in her memory can be made to the St. Regis Falls Adult Center, or the St. Regis Falls United Methodist Church.
