Loretta E. Foster

North Lawrence -- Loretta Eliza (Santimaw) Foster, age 70 passed away peacefully Sunday night (4/7/13). Loretta was born July 4, 1942 in Massena, daughter of the late Mary Santimaw. On June 27, 1964 she married David Foster Sr. on Fall Island in Potsdam. They shared 47 years, devoted to each other and their family. David predeceased her on June 23, 2011. She will be greatly missed by; her daughter, Deanna Foster and Mike Jock of Malone; her son, David Foster Jr. and wife April of North Lawrence. Loretta also left behind 4 granddaughters; Natasha Lynn, Samantha Ann, Eliza Mae and Daykota Rae. Loretta is also survived by; her sister, Linda Rowland; and brother, Bernie Snyder. Loretta loved the simple things in life like spending time with her family and friends, her dog, Ranger, cat, Missy and especially her grandchildren. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
