Alberta was born June 2, 1930 in Potsdam, the daughter of the late Albert V. and Dorothy (Russell) Page. After attending Potsdam High School, she married Orville W. Dunbar on November 9, 1947 at the Brasher Falls Methodist Parsonage where the Rev. Frank Morey presided. Orville passed away on December 19, 1994.
Alberta is survived by two daughters and two sons; Debra and her husband Rodney DeLorme of Winthrop; Joyce and Mike McDonald of Madrid; Kevin of Winthrop; and Kerry and his companion, Debbie Yandoh of Brasher Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Lorraine) Moore of Potsdam and Mrs. Danny (Yvonne) Frye of Cape Cod; one brother, Doyle Page of Winthrop; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. One sister, Gloria Jessmer and one brother, Lee Page, predeceased her.
Throughout the years, Alberta had worked at Montgomery Wards, Tru Stitch and was a private housekeeper. Her greatest gift in her life was the love and joy that her family gave to her. She made sure that each of them was blessed with a special memory of her love. Alberta took pleasure in filling the table with her favorite homemade dishes and baked goods for everyone to enjoy; being entertained at bingo games and the card games with her friends.
Those wishing to do so please consider donations in her honor to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley, 6805 US 11, Potsdam, NY 13676.
