Brasher Falls- A Funeral Mass for Timothy P. Snyder, 50, of Brasher Falls will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11AM at St. Patrick Church with the Rev. Patrick Ratigan officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Tim passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010, in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love and support of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marlene, his children, Timmy Snyder and Leanne Beshaw, of Massena, Megan Snyder, at home, and Angellena Sebring of North Lawrence, his siblings, Rodney Snyder of Potsdam, Joseph and Kathleen Snyder of Potsdam, Richard Snyder of Brasher Falls, Christine Barber of Potsdam, Cynthia and John Cayea of Brasher Falls, Carolyn Snyder and George Glass of Kingston, Mary and Michael Johnson of Durham, NC, and Nancy Snyder of Potsdam. Survivors also include, his father-in-law, Ward "Butch" Shorette of Brasher Falls, 3 sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his canine companions Alvin and Chester. Tim was born on January 9, 1960 in New Hampshire to the late Raymond J. and Carol G. (Crump) Snyder. He was a graduate of St. Lawrence Central. On November 22, 1980 he married Marlene Phelix in his parents home in Winthrop. Tim showed signs of a hard worker at an early age. When he was 14 he began work on Maurice "Sonny" Crump's farm and remained there until 1993. He then was employed by the Brasher Falls Central School District in the maintenance department for 16 years. Tim was a dedicated husband and father, and recognized as a hard worker. Those who knew and loved him remember him always being outdoors, whether it be gardening, keeping up his beautiful lawn, fishing, or playing softball. He was very fond of his animals, especially his dogs, cat, and "Bird".
