Winthrop – Brenda H. Moulton, 72, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday evening, June 17, 2015 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Brenda was born on March 20, 1943 in Potsdam, daughter of the late Lisle and Barbara (Davis) Turner. Brenda graduated from Potsdam Central School. Brenda married the love of her life, Tommy J. “TJ” Moulton on June 8, 1963 at the West Stockholm United Methodist Church. Through their marriage of 49 years, they shared a mutual love, respect and proud commitment to family life. TJ was often heard calling her “Missy Moe”. TJ passed away on May 29, 2012.
Brenda’s life was devoted to children. Along with raising her own family, Brenda blessed the lives of 29 foster children over the years. But even that was not enough children for Brenda. Brenda’s love for children extended to taking care of friends and neighbors children also. As little ones always kept her going, she enjoyed her great grandchildren on a daily basis.
Brenda is survived by her children, Kimberley and Greg Warner of Kalamazoo, MI, Becky Moulton and Christopher Pernice of Madrid, Harry and Loretta Moulton of Bangor, 4 grandchildren, Brett and Alicia Logan, Marcus Logan, Brianna Warner, Cameron Warner, 4 great grandchildren, Nevaeh Logan, Chlowie Logan, Brayden Logan, Huntlee Logan, 2 sisters, Muriel and Ceylon Foster, Suzanne and Leo Foster; sister-in-law, Sybil Turner, and all of Brenda’s in-laws, the Moulton family. She was predeceased by her brother Lisle Turner.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 25th from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Funeral Service will be Friday, June 26th at 10:00am at the West Stockholm UMC with the Rev. Jim Barnes officiating. Committal services and interment will be at the West Stockholm Cemetery.
