Hogansburg- Mr. Raymond Lansing Slowman, 54, passed on to the spirit of the world surrounded by his friends and loved ones. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Raymond was born in Sweetwater, AZ on October 30, 1961 to the late Sam L. Slowman and Nusbah (Mary) Blackgoat. He graduated high school and after earned a bachelor's degree. He worked for many years as a journeyman pipefitter for Highlanders out of Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his companion of 25 years, Robin Lazore, his children: Brandon (Nicole) Lazore, Nakkita (Matthew) Lazore, and Tiann (Jason) Lazore-White, his grandchildren whom he adored: Oren, Trevin, Quentin, Nezhoni, Brandon Jr., Connor, Saniyah, and Irae'a, his brothers and sisters: Isabella (Richardson) Toledo, Sam Slowman Jr., Arnold (Rita) Slowman, Alfred Slowman, Roy (Thelma) Slowman, and Dorthy (Ben) Slowman, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Raymond was a member of the Dine' Nation in Arizona, and the Native American Church in Hogansburg. Raymond loved to travel, especially if there was a casino on the way.
