Charles E. Fischer

Nicholville/Savannah, GA – Charles E. Fischer, 70, passed away unexpectedly, Friday evening, August 5, 2016. There will be no local calling hours or funeral services. Chuck was born on September 7, 1945 in Savannah, Georgia. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Armstrong College in Savannah, GA. He honorably served his country in the U. S. Army. He retired from the City of Savannah, GA, where he worked as a Building Inspector. With his partner, Kelly O'Brien-Dickey, they spent summers in Nicholville. Chuck is survived by his partner, Kelly, her mother, Judith O'Brien and two nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Catherine Fischer. His funeral services with be held Friday in Savannah, GA, with their friend, Fr. Patrick O'Brien, performing the prayers. Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA.
