Obituary of Pauline M. Brothers

Massena - Pauline M. (Polly) Brothers, 85 of Massena, formerly of Winthrop, died Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Highland Nursing Home in Massena. She was born on June 20, 1925 in Stockholm, daughter of the late Roy A. and Nellie Summers-Osgood Brothers, and attended the Buckton School House and Brasher-Stockholm High School. On September 8, 1945, she married William Frank "Jumbo" Brothers at St. Patrick's Rectory with Fr. John Cotter officiating. Her life was blessed with family. She is survived by six sons, Gerald and Yvonne Brothers of Williamson, Howard and Diane Brothers of Carthage, Roy Brothers and his companion, Mary Jo LaBrake of Winthrop, Dwayne and Bonnie Brothers of Brasher Falls, Michael and Sharon Brothers of Brasher Falls and Edward and Tammie Brothers of W. Chazy; one daughter, Vicky and James McCarthy of Winthrop; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Wendell Homer Page of Winthrop, many nieces and nephews. Her husband, William, three brothers, Kenneth Page, Aaron Page, Warren Page, four sisters, Diantha Plumadore, Edith Phippen, Zella Esseltine Brown Fefee and Lillian French Foos, all predeceased her. Friends may call at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, Monday, July 26th from 12 noon to 2 pm. Funeral services will commence at 2 pm at the funeral home followed by burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Brasher Falls.
