Bryan "Hal" Jenack

January 1, 1963 — September 1, 2017

Norwood- Bryan "Hal" Jenack, 54, of Brookdale, passed away Friday September 1, 2017 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital comforted by his wife and family. Hal had been fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Hal was born in Canton on April 26, 1963 to the late Kelsey E. Jenack and Eloise J. (Phillips) Fletcher. He was raised and educated locally graduating from Potsdam High School. On August 16, 2008, he married Michelle Crump in the backyard of their home in Brookdale. Hal was a hard worker who paid attention to detail doing carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and just about any odd job; but his true passion was mechanical work. Building the shop from the ground up, together with his wife Michelle they owned and operated their business 'Bryan's Small Engine Repair'. Never one to sit still, Hal was full of ambition, had a good sense of humor, and family always came first. He was a good neighbor who would help anyone who needed it. Those who knew and loved him best will remember how Hal would always make a silly face for the camera, or how he would ask "you makin' beans?" Hal is survived by his wife and best friend, Michelle; daughter and son-in-law: Megan and Brian Moulton of Madrid, daughter Brooke LaBaff of Brookdale and her companion Cory Hosken; 2 step-grandchildren: Tyler and Trevor Moulton; 2 brothers: Kelsey H. Jenack of Norfolk, and James E. Fletcher of Dekalb Junction; his mother-in-law, Louise Jenkins of Plattsburgh; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, several cousins, and many friends. Besides his parents Hal was predeceased by a brother, Michael Jenack. A celebration of life luncheon will be held Tuesday September 5th, at the Knapp Station Community Church Fellowship Hall at 2:00 pm. Calling hours will follow at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop from 4-7 pm with Hal's Funeral Service to commence at 7:00 pm. Flowers are gratefully declined.
