Winthrop - Boynton Beach, FL - Cornelius A. "Neil" Daly, 72, passed away August 9, 2010 at VITAS Innovative Health Care in West Palm Beach, FL, under the care of Hospice. He was born on June 10, 1938 in Syracuse, son of the late Dennis and Mary Collins Daly. He graduated from St. Lawrence Central School in 1956 and served his country in Germany, with the U. S. Army. He married Janet Setzer and was employed as a research Cost Estimating Engineer at Xerox Corporation in Rochester, and was a principal coordinator with the customers in Japan. He retired in 1995. Neil and his wife would spend summers on their farm in Brookdale and winters in Florida. He is survived by his wife, Janet; one brother, John and his wife, Pat Daly of Diamondhead, Mississippi; one sister, Anne and her husband, Clarence "Curt" Curtis of Laurel, Maryland; several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Mary Buckley and Margaret Crotty, predeceased him. Friends are invited to visitation at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, Wednesday, August 25th, from 6 to 8 pm. A Memorial Mass will be Thursday at 10 am at St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls with burial to follow at the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, 1901 Congress Ave., Boynton Beach, FL 33426.
