Francis A. Gray

Brasher Falls- Mr. Francis ‘Frank’ A. Gray, 67, passed away at his home on Sunday July 1, 2018. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.

Frank was born on February 11, 1951 at home in Brasher Falls to the late Charles S. and Margaret H. (McCarthy) Gray. He attended Salmon River High School and afterwards went to work on the family farm.

He liked fishing, deer hunting, and playing cards with the boys, especially pitch. Being a jokester and having a good sense of humor always made for a fun time at family gatherings. Even though he was a reserved person, Frank always enjoyed being with family and having the little ones running around.

He is survived by his 2 brothers and a sister-in-law: Charles Gray of Massena, and Richard and Patricia Gray of Brasher; nieces and nephews: Shelly Nason, Cheryl and Dave Pearson, Mary and Lynn LaRose, Joey Hence, Timothy and Marlene Gray, and Adam and Rebecca Gray, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Always close to his heart is the memory of those who predeceased him: a sister, Louise Hence and his nephew Nick Gray.

A graveside prayer service will be held Thursday July 5th at 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Cemetery in North Lawrence with a Celebration of Life Reception to Follow at Helena Fire Department.
