Elizabeth F. Goodrich

Brasher Falls- Mrs. Elizabeth F. Goodrich, 77, peacefully passed away on Wednesday July 4, 2018 in the comfort of her home with her children by her side, where she had been under the care of her daughter, Cynthia and hospice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.

She was born in Sharon, CT on August 24, 1940 to the late S. Marion (Murphy) Buckley. She was raised and educated locally graduating from St. Lawrence Central High School.

On June 16, 1962 Elizabeth married Eugene L. Goodrich at St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls with Msgr. Herbert Hannon officiating. Liz and Click shared a blessed union together built upon faith and family that was filled with mutual respect, love, and laughter. Eugene passed away on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008.

Liz worked for NY Telephone in Potsdam, retiring in 1981. After which she became a bus drive for St. Lawrence Central High School. She loved to travel and enjoyed camping trips with her family.

She was a member of NY Telephone Pioneers Association, Knights of Columbus Women’s Auxiliary, Quad Town Senior Citizens, North Lawrence Card Club, past member of Tri-Town Rescue Squad, and a parishioner of St. Patrick Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Christopher Galutz of Phoenix, NY and her son Kelly Goodrich of Brasher Falls; brothers and sisters-in-laws; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Liz was predeceased by her brother James Buckley who passed away in 1955.

Visitation will be Sunday July 8th from 4 – 6 PM at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Elizabeth’s Funeral Service and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
