Nicholville – Bruce Skiff, 95, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena. Arrangements are entrusted with Hammill Funeral Home.
Bruce was born in Nicholville on March 24, 1923, son of the late Elwin and Mildred (Farrars) Skiff. After graduation from St. Regis Falls High School, he entered the U. S. Army, going to France on the Queen Mary during WW II. After his discharge, he worked as a mechanic at Skiff’s Garage in Nicholville.
Bruce loved being in the woods; taking time to hunt and fish. He was a Yankees and Mets fan, who tried not to miss a game.
He is predeceased by his siblings; Neil, Derwood, Sherwood, and Wendell Skiff and Harriet Binan.
His Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on October 18th at 11am at Mound Hill Cemetery in Nicholville.
