Brasher Falls – Roger J. Deshane, 46, passed away tragically Friday, September 14, 2018. Condolences can be shared with his family on Friday, September 21st at his mother’s home at 2507 County Route 55 in Brasher Falls from 1 to 4pm. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3pm. A Celebration of Life Dinner will follow at 5pm at the Helena Fire Hall. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
He is survived by his sons; Eric J. Deshane of Massena, Mathew Wells and his wife, Victoria, a grandson Aizon of Brasher Falls, his mother, Donna Deshane and stepfather, Everett Dunkelberg of Brasher Iron Works, a sister, Sandra M. Deshane and companion Brad Frank of Massena, two brothers: Howard A. Deshane Jr. of Brasher Iron Works and Brian R. Deshane of North Carolina, five nephews and two nieces, many aunts, uncles and cousins. His father, Howard A. Deshane, Sr. predeceased him on July 8, 2015.
Roger loved spending time with his family and friends. He liked listening to music and watching TV in his spare time; Walker Texas Ranger as his favorite show. Eagles were a favorite animal, flying high and free, describes Roger. He was a very laid back, sociable person that would talk to anyone. He loved playing lottery tickets and crossed his fingers each time. Roger’s sons and family were his priority.
