Harold James Jenkins

Chase Mills/Norfolk- Mr. Harold J. Jenkins, 73, passed away on Sunday November 25, 2018 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital with the support of family by his side. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.

Harold was born in Potsdam on October 24, 1945 to the late Harold B. and Mildred F. (Scott) Jenkins and graduated from St. Lawrence Central High School in 1964.

Mr. Jenkins worked for St. Lawrence Co. Highway Department, EE and CC Green Lumber, JC Merriman, and performed maintenance for St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES; retiring in 2007.

On September 30, 1977, he married Gail Jones in the Town of Stockholm. Gail passed away on February 22, 2015 and Harold has missed her deeply ever since.

He is survived by: 2 granddaughters, Mia and Victoria; sister, Carol (Robert) Moulton; nephews, David (Lori) Moulton, and Robert (Brenda) Moulton Jr.; and several cousins.

In keeping with Harold’s wishes; a graveside service will be held Thursday November 29th at 10:00 AM at Jenkins Neighborhood Cemetery, located on the Mahoney Road in Winthrop.
