Leroy A. Jock

A Mass of Christian burial for Leroy A. Jock, age 75, will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, at St. Lawrence Church, North Lawrence, with Rev. Patrick Ratigan officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, North Lawrence. Calling hours will be Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Hammill Funeral Home, Winthrop. Mr. Jock passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Fletcher Allen Medical Center of Burlington, VT. He is survived by one Son & Daughter In Law, Leroy And Lucille Jock of North Lawrence; 5 Daughters & Sons-in-law, Carol And Michael Tremblay of Canandaigua, Debbie And Denes LaPlante of Massena, Brenda And Mike Caza of Massena, Judy And Joe St. Hilaire of North Lawrence, Lynn And Michael Kelley of Bombay,; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Esther; one grandson, Daniel Paul Simonds; 5 sisters and 4 brothers. Mr. Jock was born April 25, 1934 in Ft. Covington, NY. the son of the late George and Ella Mae (Snyder) Jock. He married Esther Villnave on February 13, 1954 at St. Lawrence Church, North Lawrence. He was predeceased by his wife, on June 25, 2004. He was employed by Kraft Dairy, North Lawrence, in the Maintenance Dept. Mr. Jock was a member of the North Lawrence Volunteer Fire Dept. and a member of the Teamsters Union.. At his leisure, Mr. Jock enjoyed fishing, baseball and doing mechanical repairs.
