Cecil R. Deshane

Winthrop – Cecil R. DeShane, 81, passed away Friday night, August 10, 2019 at the St. Regis Health Care in Massena.  Following his wishes; a graveside military service will be held Thursday at 11 am at Winthrop Cemetery with the American Legion Post #514 and US Army Military Funeral Honor Detail from Ft. Drum, providing honors.

Cecil was born on July 6, 1938 in Norfolk, son of Robert and Martha Jandreau DeShane.  He honorably served his country in the US Army.  He worked for Norfolk Paper Mill in Norfolk.

He is survived by one sister, Georgina Moody of Norfolk, cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brothers, Peter, Gerald and Alex and a sister, Veva Kelly.
