Hopkinton – Gerald “Jerry” Goldsworth, 95, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Following his wishes there will be no services. Arrangements are with the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Jerry was born on July 16, 1924 in West Sayville, Long Island, son of the late Herman and Anne (Buys) Goldsworth. He graduated from Sayville High School, entered the US Navy, serving his country during World War II. He married Antonia Rysanek at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Sayville on April 7, 1951. He was a self-employed carpenter. He entered the fire service at the age of 16 and was still a member of the Hopkinton- Ft. Jackson Fire Department. He enjoyed reading and gardening.
Jerry is survived by his wife, one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and John Walker of St. Regis Falls, two grandchildren, Morgan and Brandon Dufrane and Samuel Walker and his companion, Jordan Doe, a great granddaughter, Harper Jean Dufrane.
