Mary E. Cornish

Dickinson Center - Mary Cornish, 65, passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2020. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Her family will honor her life privately. Mary was born in Potsdam on August 15, 1954, daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (White) Maxfield. She married Cecil W. Cornish on December 21, 1985 in Lawrenceville. He died on October 7, 2017. Mary worked at True Stitch and then at National Safety in Moira. She is survived by two children: Cecile W. and Jessica Maxfield of Dickinson Center, and Jessica L. and Paul Dibble Jr. of Brasher Falls, a grandson, Chance Killian Michael Dibble, her siblings: Charlotte Martin of Dickinson Center, Betsy and Gaylord Collett of Ft. Jackson, Charles Maxfield of Nicholville, and Warren Maxfield of Brasher Falls. Mary was predeceased by two sons, David Cornish and William Maxfield, a sister, Judith Snyder and a brother, Calvin Maxfield.
