Norfolk - Edna M. Clookey, 90, of Norfolk, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Mrs. Clookey was born in Norwood on May 29, 1920. She married Clifford Clookey who predeceased her in 1979. Edna would find enjoyment in crocheting, painting, cooking, and playing cards. Those that knew her found her pleasing in her irreplaceable personality. She was a member of the Norfolk Senior Citizens and was the last of the original residents of Norfolk Housing at 3 High Street. She is survived by two grandsons and their wives; David and Valerie Mooney of Norwood and Robert and Bobbi Mooney of Oak Harbor, WA; three granddaughters, Christina and Jim Kane of Scottsdale, AZ, Jennifer and Jesse Clark of Norwood and Angela Mooney and her fiancé' John Dross of Ft. Edward; and a sister in law, Margaret French of Rayville, MO. She was predeceased by one daughter, Phyllis Mooney in 1997, a step daughter, Sally Clookey, one grandson, Larry Macy in 2007, and her brother, Leo French. In keeping with Edna's personality, private services will be held with Rev. Bob Billings providing spiritual guidance. Burial will be in Southville Cemetery in the Town of Stockholm.
