Dickinson Center – It is unimaginable sadness we share the unexpected passing of Tesa M. Sweet (50) beloved daughter of Michael and Veronica (Wait) Sweet of Dickinson Center, NY. Tesa passed on January 8, 2021 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls, NY. Following with her families wishes and COVID restrictions services will be held in the spring.
Tesa was born in Malone, NY on June 9, 1970 and graduated from St. Regis Falls High School. She attended SUNY Potsdam and Cazenovia College earning an associates degree. She worked for 30 plus years in the architectural field and was an irreplaceable Senior Designer and Acting Project Manager at Beardsley Design Assoc. in Malone, Syracuse, and Auburn NY.
Those who knew Tesa well had a friend and coworker who was honest, hardworking, generous, meticulous, and full of humor. She loved and gave all to her family, friends, career, home and pups, Georgia, and Bodhi. She volunteered on the board of the Dickinson Fire District and Ives Cemetery Assoc. with pride of her services to her community. She loved painting, the challenge of a crossword puzzle or sudoku, a well-earned vacation on the beach with a friend, classic rock on the radio, and the comfort of a worn flannel shirt. Tesa was an old soul, an independent woman who lived her life with honesty and integrity.
She is survived with great sorrow by her heartbroken parents, her brother and sister-in-law Todd and Cheryl Sweet with children Fahren and Preston of New Boston, NH along with special cousins Tisha and Aaron White, Rich, Robert and Anne Marie (Prevost) Fountain, Markus and Kaitlyn Wait, and T. Michael Sweet and their families and many aunts, uncles, cousins and heartfelt friends.
