Brasher Falls - Elizabeth D. Wells, 68, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at her home under the care of her family and Hospice. Elizabeth was born on October 12, 1952 in Malone, daughter of the late John Peter and Florence L. (LaBrake) Rushlow. She married David L. Wells on August 30, 1969 at Church of the Holy Cross in Hopkinton. David predeceased her on July 6, 2020, after sharing a union of over 50 years. She worked at Potsdam Nursing Home as a Nurses Aid for many years. Elizabeth enjoyed softball, crochet, computer games and playing cards. She found the greatest joy being a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her five children; Lawanda and Steve Derouchia of NC, David and Christina Wells, Jr. of Massena, Christine LaTray of NC, Sandra and Tony Paquin of Massena, and Peter and BobbyJo Wells of Helena, one brother, Conrad and Charlotte Rushlow of Constable, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers; Lee Rushlow, John Rushlow, Jr., Stanley Rushlow, Aaron Rushlow and Fred LaBrake, and two sisters, Edna Stevens and Margaret Stafford. Visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 8 pm at Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. She will be buried at St. Marys' Cemetery in Ft. Covington on Friday July 2nd at 3pm.
